Preparing to Camp Out in SF

Okay, so Ngan and I have decided to camp out in SF tonight to wait for the beloved Nike Air Max "One Time Only" shoes (oh yeah, and a pair of Jordans). I've never done this before, but want to be prepared. So, I'm going to pick up a few things to make this little adventure as painless as possible. Anyway, I'll post a summary of my findings/packing list, but wanted to share a possible blanket. A 2 person survival blanket -- is this overkill or what?

Today is so Random

Which reminded me of an episode from Survivor: Cook Island..

"We love you." -Candice, trying to be nice

"I love you." -Billy, having completely lost his mind

Of all the infrequent visits to the Microsoft site...

...and all I got was this lousy "sorry page."

Nike Air Max "One Time Only"

Looks like Nike is combining the sole of its 360s with some classic Air Max of the past. Check them out here. I definitely need to pick me up a pair..

Say Cheese!

Don't worry, my mom is getting her teeth fixed soon (I think she looks good anyway). ;)

Still Here..

Okay, so I'm posting just to post. Didn't want anyone to think I forgot (assuming somebody out there other than myself is reading this...heh). ;)

Anyway, TGIF.. Not much planned for the weekend actually. May go to a club (to catch a glimpse of Aubrey from Danity Kane -- shh!) and check out a car show -- Hot Import Nights or DUB Magazine's 2006 Custom Auto Show -- to see women with fake boobs and cars, according to Ngan. Hrmm.. Well, we'll see. May end up doing the "same thing" (i.e. not a damn thing).

Waiting for pizza @ SFO

k790a is Here!

In case you haven't guessed, the SE k790a finally arrived a couple of days ago. I'm still getting used to it and learning about all of its features, and I wanted to test the "Blog this" feature (which explains the recent pics). So far so good. The only cons I have so far is the price (actually not that bad, considering it just came out), the lens cover (common complaint that it doesn't always stay shut), and somewhat disappointed with picture quality. I did a quick comparison of pictures taken with a 2.x mgp camera, and the quality seems better than the 3.2 mgp ones taken with the k790a (TODO: Post side-by-side comparison). Other than that I'm pretty satisfied. Anyway, will probably be "trigger happy" over the next few days, but will try to keep "Blog this" pics to more meaningful moments.

Visiting Family in LA

This weekend I went on a short trip with my mom to to LA. We didn't do anything especially exciting (probably return another time to do the touristy things), as the main purpose was for her to have an opportunity to visit with family (her brother and sister; many more in other states and back home in the Philippines). She hadn't seen them in awhile, and lately it seemed as if all of our "family reunions" were to attend a funeral.

Anyway, I had fun listening and watching them talk (as I don't speak or understand Tagalog -- yet, hehe). And of course there was plenty of food. ;) Also, I had a chance to check out some photo albums and found a beautiful picture of my mom when she was (just a little) younger.
